Our project aims to help refugees from Ukraine and residents of Tiraspol affected by war and recent crises by providing hard and soft skills training. Through career orientation, English language training and intercultural interaction, we aim to improve participants' competitiveness in the labor market and their overall quality of life. By equipping them with the skills to navigate new economic realities and plan for a more stable future, we aim to support their long-term personal and professional growth.
The project is purely educational and cultural in nature.
You are waiting for:
- English course from 7 to 9 months from A2 to B1.1 and B1.1 / B1.2 according to CEFR in a Licensed Language Center;
- a course on the program "Compass", which will help to determine your abilities and build a route of professional training, to start moving forward and change your career, to see your unique opportunities, learn to apply psychological tools of personal effectiveness (techniques of time management, emotion management, effective communication, creative thinking techniques), to learn how to apply psychological tools of personal effectiveness (techniques of time management, emotion management, effective communication, creative thinking techniques).
- basics of career planning and personal effectiveness, as well as psychological and coaching exercises;
- individual support throughout the program;
- certificates of English language proficiency and Compass course from the project partners - Licensed Centers.
For whom and conditions for participation in the project:
- Residents of Tiraspol and Ukrainian refugees living in Tiraspol or its surroundings, aged 18-40 years.
- Professional need: is in search of a new job; needs to revise professional competencies and/or career path.
- Knowledge of English: A1 (Beginner) or B1.1 (Pre-intermediate).
- Responsible attitude: willingness to devote time and effort to the learning process; obligation to take final exams and complete assignments.
- Willingness to participate: confirmation of willingness to participate in all project activities.
- Financial support: personal co-financing of up to 10% of the course fee.
- Confirmation of status: willingness to confirm the status of Tiraspol resident or refugee from Ukraine.

Duration of English Language Training:
- November 2024 - August 2025;
- Classes will meet 2 times a week for up to 2 hours;
- Format of instruction: offline or online.
Duration of the Compass course:
- November 2024 - August 2025;
- Seminars - 2 times a month on Wednesdays for up to 3 hours in Tiraspol;
- Webinars - 2 times a month on Fridays for up to 2 hours.

NOTE
- The collection of applications is open until and including November 10, 2024.
- The number of beneficiaries is limited
- In case of systemic and prolonged absences, the participant (trainee) will be expelled and his/her place will be taken by another person from the Waiting List.
CEFR - (Common European Framework of Reference) is a pan-European language proficiency assessment system.
The language proficiency scale consists of three major categories: A, B and C - also called:
- Basic user (basic user, you are beginning to speak a foreign language);
- Independent user (independent user, you are beginning to convey almost any thought);
- Proficient user (fluent user, you are approaching native speakers).
Each of these levels is divided into two more, which are already labeled with letters - A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 - 6 levels.
By reaching proficiency level B 1.1 you will be able to: Pre-intermediate
- travel without a guide and navigate in everyday situations;
- understand the structures of the English language: sentence construction, phonetics, basic vocabulary in the volume of more than 2000 words and expressions;
- communicate competently in English: express their own opinions and views, conduct personal and business correspondence of medium complexity;
- understand ideas, messages made in the literary language on various topics that typically arise at work, school, leisure, etc.;
- understand what is discussed in most radio and TV programs, conferences and trainings;
- read adapted and adapted to the needs of the students; read and understand the English language.
By achieving proficiency level B 1.2 you will be able to: Intermediate
- the ability to maintain a conversation on almost any topic, give a speech or presentation, answer questions from listeners, express their own opinions and views, conduct personal and business correspondence of medium complexity;
- understand the structures of the English language: sentence construction, phonetics, basic vocabulary in the volume of more than 3500-4000 words and expressions;
- understand what is discussed in most radio and TV programs, conferences and trainings;
- read adapted literature in English;
- travel without a guide and navigate in everyday situations.
Project partners:
Public organization "Agency for Regional Development of Transdniestria"
12 years of experience in the field of local and regional development; economic development: (tourism, youth entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship), cultural development. Member of the platform "Education". Within the project is responsible for the overall implementation of the project.
Language and Translation Center "SMART"
Licensed Language Center in Tiraspol, branch in Bender, member of the platform "Education "Within the project is responsible for the English language training course.
The Career Guidance Center "Skills Lab"
A social enterprise from Tiraspol, providing licensed educational services in the field of digital literacy, social and communication skills and competencies of modern professions. In the framework of the project, it is responsible for conducting the course "Psychological tools for personal effectiveness" and career guidance.
